We found out today that BOTH donors are a good match!! They were looking for a 10 out of 10 to be a good match, but both were better. One was a 12 out of 14 and one was a 13 out of 14. Hopefully, both will have the testing so that we have an alternate ready to go if needed.
The testing of the donors is needed is to make sure that they are healthy for themselves to have the procedure as well as to see if their stem cells would be strong for Michael. We thought that would start right away, but Michael needs more testing first. So I spent a lot of the day trying to speed that up. So tomorrow begins part of the testing and hopefully, the rest of his testing by the end of the week.
